Bill Macy

‘ You can always count on "Doctor Chainsaw" ’

Bill has been involved with Pioneering for almost 30 years.  He is always willing to help and recruits many other Pioneers to assist with projects.  To the NH Special Olympics, Northwood State Park Project and other organizations within the state, Bill is an excellent example of what being a Telephone Pioneer truly is.

Community Service Activities:

Bill served as chairperson of the Wiring Schools for Computers Program.  He also was the co-chair for the Salem, New Hampshire Science Project Nature Trail and the Saco River Canoe Trip for the Handicapped as well.

Bill has also done a lot of "cutting up" at Northwood State Park.  It seems that Bill likes to use a chainsaw and once he gets going, it's tough to stop him.  Hence, the nickname "Doctor Chainsaw".

Fund Raising:

Bill participated in raising funds for the Junior Achievement Mini-Indy race, the Pioneer Park and Special Olympics - just to name a few.

Pioneer Leadership Positions:

1998-2001       President & Vice President - Keller Chapter

Previously       VP and President - New Hampshire Council. Bill has also held various
Chairs on both the New Hampshire Council and the Chapter.

Awards:

Pioneer of the Year - New Hampshire Council

Numerous "Certificates of Achievement" for Pioneer Projects.
