Rebuilding Together Greater Manchester
is a non-profit, non-sectarian
organization. It is supported entirely by voluntary contributions of time,
materials and money. Funds are donated by corporations, individuals, labor
and civic organizations, foundations, churches and synagogues interested in
building a better community.
As the largest volunteer home rehabilitation organization in America, our
work takes place in 865 cities and towns in all 50 states. To date, almost
2.3 million volunteers have worked to rehabilitate 87,450 houses and
nonprofit facilities. In 2004, more than 275,000 men and women donated
over 3 million hours of time to rehabilitate more than 8,500 houses and
non-profit facilities.
Since 1988, more than one million volunteers have made over
$480 million worth of free repairs to over 37,000 homes and non-profit
facilities nationwide.
